Abingdon Farmers’ Market to open April 17

The Abingdon Farmer’s Market will open for the 2010 season on April 17. The opening day festivities will feature live music performed by The Old Oak Revival, a wonderful local band performing folk, rock and Americana music. And of course there will be plenty of homegrown produce for sale as well as a number of artists displaying their works for sale. In total there will be 44 booths set up for business while the great live music plays in the background.

The Abingdon Farmers’ Market is one of the most successful farmer’s markets in the region, with dozens of local farmers selling thousands of pounds of fresh produce sold every year. It is open from 7am till noon on Saturdays and from 3 to 6pm on Tuesdays throughout the season. You will find it on the corner Cummings Street and Remsburg Drive.
